Almost perfect , December 27, 2010

"I have owned this tv for less than regarding one week, however here are my early impressions:
I tried 2 completely different HDTVs before buying this one. each were edge-lit LED and each exhibited some clouding and flashlighting (very bright screen within the corners). I took an opportunity on this Sony based mostly on the standard of my past Sony product and comments/reviews from others. I even have not been disappointed.
First off, i'd prefer to praise Amazon for obtaining this TV to me quickly and in one piece. From the time I ordered it to plugging it in was but vi days! Pilot was the delivery company and that i don't have anything however nice things to mention regarding them.
From the instant you are taking it out of the box you have got to love the planning of this tv. The front panel is all glass--no plastic bezel round the outside. it's a handsome tv. it's conjointly quite serious.

Negatives:
The Internet widgets (not to be confused with the apps) are slow and pointless. perhaps the need improve on that within the future.
You have to shop for the 3D transmitter separately. i do not apprehend why they could not build it into the tv. Yes, the glasses are expensive, however to own to shop for the transmitter too, is an insult. simply ensure you get a bundle deal to avoid wasting some $.
The only alternative negative--and what keeps this tv from obtaining an ideal five stars--is the horrible speakers. I even have heard higher sounding transistor radios. I even have fiddled with the settings over and over, and that i still cannot get a good sound out of this tv. I even have it connected to a Sony home theatre, however do not like power it on only for tv (kind of an energy waste, I think), however generally it's a necessity.

**UPDATE**
I got the Alice movie to figure in my PS3, thus I had the chance to observe in 3D. The impact is incredibly nice. With this explicit movie 3D created it higher. Any movie that uses lots of CGI can like 3D. When watching 3D, the screen gets somewhat darker, thus you will need to regulate your image choices to compensate. I failed to notice it to be a drag as we tend to watched in a very dark area. Also, you can not lie down or maybe lean slightly askew whereas watching, as this may negate most, if not all, of the 3D impact. stay up straight young man! No slouching!
Make no mistake, the 3D remains a novelty at this stage, however having a high quality 3D feature on one in all the best-looking 2nd tvs I even have seen is a new bonus. I highly advocate this TV.
